Lucia Capacchione’s Story
The story of manifesting her own dream house is a perfect example of Visioning® at work.
In August of 1992, she created collages on the theme “The Year Ahead.” Without intending to she found herself selecting pictures of a dream house in a dream setting by the sea, complete with a studio and a view of pine trees.
At the time Lucia did these collages she was living in the Los Angeles area. For many reasons, buying a home in a remote area away from where her work and family were, seemed impossible and impractical.
The whole time she worked on these collages her Inner Critic kept telling herself this was out of the question: she couldn’t afford it, her income sources were in southern California, and her father was suffering from terminal cancer. If Lucia’s Inner Critic had gotten the upper hand she never would have completed these collages.
The Dream Home
After journaling with her inner obstacles and looking at her collages every day for several months, everything in her life changed without her making any other effort. In May of 1993, nine months after she created the collages, Lucia moved into the house pictured on the next page. She gave birth to her dream.
