Testimonials

“For me, this class has helped me to de-stress a bit, leave my problems and worries behind, express myself more, remove my fear of entering a new school because I’ve never been in a school in the United States, only in Mexico. And for me it was very difficult because I don’t know how to speak English, but I’m beginning to understand it a little better. This class helps me to think and to reason, think about how I feel today and why, what’s causing me to feel that way, and the solution to my feeling. It’s a good class. At home it helps me think about what is good and what is not correct, to live”

“My experience in journal writing is that I express myself in writing. I write about all my problems and when I write, I feel better. When I have problems at home, I write in my journal. I also write in my journal about what I think of doing in my future. I like writing in my journal because it helps me to get rid of my stress. In my journal, I write about how happy I feel to have my daughter. I think about being supportive of my daughter so she’ll come up ahead, of finishing school and going to college, so I can give my daughter a good future.”

“Creative Journaling has been the solution to my stress.  I rest from the clarity of my problems. It helps me to think before acting, to see another point of view of my problems. I have discovered that thinking and thinking only stresses me. And feeling frustrated only gets me to the point of trying to hurt myself or hurt someone. When I get angry at home, I get a paper and whatever I can find to write or draw with. I use it to draw and try to take out my anger on the paper, and it helps me place my anger someplace else. I love this class and recommend it. So you can at least try it sometime and you will see how it will de-stress you and you will feel better… Think about it. It will help you!”
